Laurel Mountain Ski Resort

The first major ski resort in western Pennsylvania, Laurel Mountain was once owned & operated by General Richard King Mellon as a private resort for the Rolling Rock Club. It was operated as such until 1958.

Nowadays, snowboarding and snow tubing have taken off, and Laurel Mountain relies more heavily on state-of-the-art snowmaking systems to fill in when Mother Nature takes a break. Laurel Mountain now features new lighting and snowmaking as well as the Father Snow toddler's play park. If you are looking for a chance of pace, try out Laurel's terrain park and pipe or take a ride in the Snow Tubing Park.

At the end of the day, unwind at the Wildcat Lounge which has expanded it's size for more entertainment. Or perhaps take in the scenery from the beautiful Laurel Lodge which offers a panoramic view of the Ligonier Valley. Whatever you deisre, Laurel Mountain fits the bill.
