Howelsen Hill Ski Area |
Located just outside of Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Ski Area is the smack in the middle of the Williams Fork mountains. This great location makes Howelsen the recipient of huge amounts of the snow making for some great conditions for riding or training. Howelsen Ski Area holds a unique place in the history of skiing: It has sent more skiers to international competitions than any other area in North America. Howelsen boasts a remarkable heritage. It is the oldest ski area in continuous use in Colorado, and has the largest and most complete natural ski jumping complex in North America.
