The Lone Birch offers motel rooms, housekeeping units and our always popular Chalet Cabin for your Gore Mountain Accommodations and Lodging requirements.
Enjoy Downhill skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding at nearby Gore Mountain. With 200 + instructors that continually train all season, and the majority of them certified members of the Professionl Ski Intructors of America or the American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
Area Cross country skiing trails take you into terrain hidden from view during the summer. You can stop in any of the six towns connected by the trails for lunch and a rest.
Snowmobiling is really popular here with an extensive trail system that covers more than 750 miles of interconnected groomed trails.
Indian Lake is a four season vacation destination and has much to offer all year:
-Two 9 hole golf courses that are challenging yet moderate in price.
-Cruise and dine on nearby Raquette Lake and take in the views of the Great Camps built in the area in the late 1800's by some of the wealthiest families in America.
-For those who like to fish there are numerous marinas and boat launches, as well as rentals so you can try your luck finding trout, bass, pike, pickerel, and perch.
-If crafts and the arts are your interest there are many shops and galleries featuring the work of local painters, photographers, potters, authors, jewelers, quilters and furniture makers.
-Looking for whitewater? Come for an exciting rafting trip down the Hudson River Gorge. There are 13 rafting companies available to take you safely from Indian Lake to North River and on to the Hudson. A 17 mile trip which drops 650 vertical feet.
We are located on Route 28 on the East end of the Town of Indian Lake less than 20 miles from Gore Mountain! Visit us for your ski vacation in New York and come back for the fishing, boating and many other area attractions.

Deposit
A valid credit card is required to hold all reservations. If a guest chooses not to use a credit card, a deposit of 50% is required prior to arrival. Deposits can be made by check/money order in US funds by mail, or by PayPal.

Policies
We allow pets for an additional $10 per night. Pets cannot be left unattended in the rooms. A kennel is available for a nominal fee if your pet must be left alone.
Cancellation
We have a one week cancellation policy. If a reservation is cancelled within the week prior to stay, every effort will be made to rent the room to other visitors. If we are unable to re-rent the room, the credit card used to hold the room will be charged for the total amount.
